This student entrepreneur course develops persuasive, analytical and marketing communications skills. Real world skills essential for the business marketplace, students will be entering. This course empowers students to articulate their ideas to develop a presentation (investors pitch). Students are introduced to start up business elements such as:
- Market ananlysis
- Cost & competitivness
Students take these business elements to create an influential and persuasive presentation to achieve financial backing to produce their ideas. Students may work in collaboration in small teams of 2-3 or a full class team to research, develop and create a product, fictional or real, for the project. This course can be held as a co-curricular specialist class or scaled up to a full year level in conjunction with the school as an assessment task. Pitch day is a showcase of the persuasive speaking skills of the teams and can include a panel made up of teachers, public speaking experts and leaders in business.
